I was very eager to see this movie, considering I had seen the movie adaptation
Promises, Promises with Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth. It's ironic that when the movie was released it was considered a comedy when the main plot point is Shirley Mclaine's character's failed suicide attempt. Overall, entertaining, but rather fluffy, as one would expect from a Billy Wilder comedy. Given the popularity of 50s and 60s-esque stories with everything from
Mad Men to
Archer I found it watchable--something I might not have, had I watched this back in 2007 when I started this endeavor.
